BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – October 12, 2017– The Boards of Directors of Adams Diversified Equity Fund (NYSE: ADX) and Adams Natural Resources Fund (NYSE: PEO), two of the oldest closed-end funds, announce the election of Lauriann C. Kloppenburg as an independent director of the Funds, effective October 12, 2017.
Ms. Kloppenburg retired as Chief Strategy Officer from Loomis, Sayles & Company, a privately-owned investment manager, in 2013 after over 30 years with the company. She began her career as a research assistant and served in a number of roles of increasing responsibility at Loomis, including Director of Equity Research from 1997 to 2004. She was Loomis’ Equity Chief Investment Officer from 2004 to 2012, and was also a member of its Board of Directors from 2000 to 2013. Ms. Kloppenburg is a graduate of Wellesley College. She is currently a Board member of the Forte Foundation, a Trustee for the Trustees of Donations for the Protestant Episcopal Church, and serves on Advisory Boards for Bentley University and Champlain College.
