BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – September 8, 2017– Adams Funds, which consists of two of the country’s oldest closed-end equity funds, Adams Diversified Equity Fund (ADX) and Adams Natural Resources Fund (PEO), today announced that Lawrence L. Hooper, Jr., General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, will speak on the opening panel at the Closed-End Fund Association’s (CEFA) Advisor Summit this month in Chicago, Illinois.

Mr. Hooper, who also serves as the Funds’ Corporate Secretary, has been with the Funds for 20 years. The panel, entitled “CEF Trends and Opportunity: Incorporating CEFs in Your Portfolio,” will discuss the role closed-end funds can play in a diversified investment portfolio.

“Our Funds have traded on the NYSE for over 85 years, and we are proud to be participating in the industry’s leading event for advisor education,” said Mr. Hooper. “Closed-end funds play an important role in any portfolio, with the ability to help investors achieve their long-term investment goals and provide reliable income. We’re excited to help build awareness of the many benefits of closed-end funds and how investors can take full advantage of them in today’s market,” said Mr. Hooper.

The Advisor Summit on Closed-End Funds will take place on September 20, 2017, at the Morningstar headquarters in Chicago. Mr. Hooper’s panel is scheduled to take place from 9:40-10:30 a.m. CDT.

In addition to trends in the closed-end fund industry, the conference will also explore real assets and alternative strategies, and investigate how to find income in a low-yield environment. The event offers advisors the opportunity to hear from top institutional asset managers on how they can take advantage of the unique opportunities closed-end funds offer.
